The council’s Environment Team wanted an appealing and shareable infographic to capture the content of their inaugural Climate Emergency Plan for 2023-2030. We went with a hand-drawn style and a warm appealing palette to capture the community, grass-roots feel of the project and to distinguish each theme. The design was intended to have broad appeal, opening up the CEP content to a wider audience, especially young people and those who might be less likely to sit down and read the whole written Plan.

The design is fast becoming a visual through line for the climate action work in the Macedon Ranges community, with the illustrations being used in more localised events, such as the Enviro Energy Expo. It’s fantastic seeing the response to the work, and seeing communities embracing the art as an integral part of the action they are taking on Climate Change. Hat’s off to the Council for supporting this really creative approach to get people energised on Climate Change in the community.
